Nursing Jobs in Regional NSW: Rural & Remote.
Rural placements are one of the most rewarding experiences our nurses describe. You will work in a smaller team, with greater use of your full nursing skills, knowledge and learning, and see parts of NSW that most visitors never reach.
Sub-specialties and areas we place.
We place nurses across all of the following areas within rural and regional NSW. If your background fits, we would love to hear from you.
What you need to work in this specialty.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Minimum experience | Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience. Rural placements require broad clinical flexibility as nurses may work across multiple settings within one facility. |
| Pre-arrival certifications | Basic Life Support (BLS) must be current. Some facilities require Advanced Life Support (ALS) given the isolated nature of rural emergency care. IV cannulation and medication administration competencies required. |
| Orientation period | Typically 1–3 days facility induction. Rural placements often involve a shorter formal orientation due to immediate staffing need, but experienced supervisors are always available. |
| AHPRA registration | Required before starting work. We can provide guidance and support throughout the AHPRA process. |
Current demand in Sydney.
Rural placements offer significant professional development — broader clinical scope, smaller teams, and parts of NSW that most visitors never reach. Many UK nurses find them among the most rewarding experiences of their time in Australia. Get in touch and we will talk through whether a rural contract suits your plans.
